Structural quality does degrade over multiple crop cycles as the fibers break down and porosity reduces. Most commercial greenhouse operations replace the substrate after two to three crop cycles. For home or small-scale growing, reuse is practical if the media is flushed and EC is verified before replanting.
Store compressed coco peat blocks in a dry, covered area away from direct rain and sustained sun exposure.
